About AGL Flight Training
My name is Eliseus Fomenko, I am a flight instructor based in the Lincoln and Seward area. I started AGL (Above Ground Level) Flight Training to provide high quality and cost effective training for pilots in the local community. I conduct much of the instruction myself and also work alongside a group of independent flight instructors.
AGL Flight Training supports three common training goals: Recreational and personal flying, professional flying career, and aspiring military pilots. ​​​​​
Recreational and Personal Flying
Many people start flight training because flying has always been a personal goal. Others want the freedom to travel with family, plan for future aircraft ownership, or participate in a local flying club.
AGL Flight Training has helped many local students earn their Private Pilot Certificate with the goal of flying purely for enjoyment. Many of them have joined nearby flying clubs, where costs are shared among members, allowing recreational flying to remain affordable and sustainable long term.
Supporting Future Military Pilots
For those pursuing a military pilot slot, earning a Private Pilot Certificate is one of the most effective ways to strengthen a competitive application.

Professional Flying Career
For those pursuing careers in the airlines, corporate aviation, or contract flying, the training path chosen early on can significantly affect overall training costs. Many aspiring professional pilots assume that larger flight schools are the only option, without realizing there are more efficient ways to reach the same goals.
AGL Flight Training provides professional flight instruction from Private Pilot through CFII. In addition to full end to end training, AGL Flight Training has also helped students complete their initial certificates before transitioning to larger flight schools later in their training. This hybrid approach allows pilots to reduce total training costs while still meeting the experience and qualification requirements for professional flying.
College students are able to receive a 10% discount on the instructor rate with proof of current enrollment.
